Where are you?
Jarak yang memisahkan kita dari dipertemukan mungkin sebatu,
Atau mungkin beribu batu,
Tatkala siang dan malam silih berganti,
I keep on wondering is there somebody out there,
Who are meant for me?
Do i need to stop for a moment in the middle of no where,
hanya untuk menantikan peluang cinta pandang pertama?
They say there are many fish in the sea,
Tapi kalau kail panjang sejengkal, manakan laut hendak diduga,
Aku hairan ada orang hidup merempat tapi punya kekasih,
Ada yang harta berjuta tapi terlalu memilih,
Ada yang hanya kerana tidak percayakan cinta,
Sanggup bersendiri ke hari tua,
It takes two to tango,
manakan perigi mencari timba,
Mungkin cinta berhukumkan rimba,
Survival of the fittest,
Chance favor the brave,
But I'm not brave enough to ask for date,
Bukan apa? hanya kerana aku tak berduit,
Dengan hutang keliling pinggang,
masakan mahu masuk meminang,
They say ukur baju dibadan sendiri,
Janganlah harap you ada peluang if you don't have a degree,
Apa ahlilmuzik? No way!!!!!
Alangkah bagus kalau aku jadi orang asli,
kos kehidupan taklah tinggi,
Kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang,
Pinggan mangkuk tak perlu sudah ada daun pisang,
Tak perlu memikirkan turun naik harga minyak,
hanya perlu risau gajah-gajah yang naik minyak.......

Brain Drain....
It has been quite a while since the last time I posted something on this 'blog'. I don't know la maybe because FB has taken over. Pictures, two cents, expressions seems to be channeled into FB for all my friends to see. I believe i blend ice for a living...... Seriously that is really a fact. I am an ice blender earning less than RM 300 a month operating blenders. There are many jobs out there but I am an Ice Blender still. Business is just like roller coaster especially when you are operating from no where. May be i need a paradigm shift to maximize the full potential of a career as an ice blender. To be honest i really love my job, it gave me the opportunity to be the assistant muazzin at Surau Al-Mustaqim.... So Every time I am free to serve the surau without any hesitation or hindrance. I believe someone has to do it. I am very privileged to be one of the seven persons to hold the key to the surau. Last week someone tried to break into the Surau's office, he failed to open the door and in result of his action the door knob was busted and had to be replaced. I am very sadden and amazed as of all places this good for nothing chose to break into the house of Allah. The incident caused a change in the policy. The surau is now locked in between prayers so sadly visitors can only pray on the veranda during that time. Before this, we only lock it at night.

i'm gonna eat you!
Apparently H1N1 had claimed the lives of many people....... I have one recommendation for all. We should perform ablution more often to stop the spread of the disease. The act of ablution or wudhu' should leave us with rather hygienic condition then we should have no qualms in living our life........think about it.

Satu Malaysia
Dalam kita menempuh arus pemodenan,
Pastikan tiada yang ketinggalan,
Dalam kita "berseronok-ronokkan",
Pastikan tiada yang dalam penderitaan,
Dari itu marilah semua,
Kita hidupkan Satu Malaysia,
Lupakanlah segala sengsara,
Kita bangunkan Satu Malaysia!!!!
Kerana kita bangsa Malaysia,
Terkenal di seluruh dunia,
Penuh adat dan tatasusila,
Janganlah kita mudah lupa,
Dari itu marilah semua,
Kita hidupkan Satu Malaysia,
Lupakanlah segala sengsara,
Kita bangunkan Satu Malaysia!!!!
SATU MALAYSIA!!!!!!!!!

Any last words?
A few days back, I had the chance to feel the electricity running through my left arm as I was unscrewing a light bulb with a wet hand and I did not realize that the switch is on. It was a close call as the moment I felt the current running through my vein, My hand automatically kinda like in a feedback response, pull out the light bulb socket from the live wire. I was spared from electrocution because the wiring was frail. Had it been a lot tighter, I dunno what would have happened. But I'm not writing about the fact that I had a close call, but it is the matter I reacted to it that really got me into thinking......If it is my time to leave this world, Are my last words going to be "shit! shit!" ? Naudzubillahimindzalik.... What was I thinking? Megawatts of electricity and I had chosen "Shit! Shit!". It was not the first time. When I was chased by two guard dogs in AU2 Keramat, I scream Shitezer! Shitezer! as I skate away on my flowboard. I guess when you keep on repeating something on and on it will stuck to you. I'll just pray when the time does come I will only have Allah in my mind..........

Run Huq Run!!!
I just can't believe of what I have achieved. With just a month after the treadmill challenge in One Utama, I have managed to cross the finishing line of a full marathon.
I'm not a runner. I can say that I'm more a skateboarder coz I terrorize the streets of KL with my skateboard. Running/walking 42.195 KM really brought a new perspective on my life. I have fully understand what our forefathers have been through sans transportation. The experience of finishing the marathon with limited amount of hydration really change my point of view on society at large. In times of adversities I found out that we really can set aside our differences and help each other. In a marathon when there is point A and point B. We pushed our self to the limits to do our best. In the midpoint of the race when half the job is done, there's a sense of feeling "I've made this far I can do it!". But then when there are too many walkers rather than runners, you tend to be dragged into the same rythm. That was the case until I realized "hey, I'm in a marathon should I be running?" Doh! So I started to run a bit and according to runpix, from halfway to the finish, I passed 148 runners while 11 passed me. The sour part is as I was enthusiastic to finish the marathon, I was dishearten to see station after station for rehydration emptied. My guess is the frontrunners were very thirsty. I didn't care much about water, I just wanted to replenish my body's electrolytes. My legs were cramping up I was very afraid that they were going to give in or you can call it the state of hitting the wall. I turned my frustration into motivation and I keep on running. AND THE REST IS HISTORY.....
ps. Thank you Mr. 1086, Mrs 0200, Mr 0943 for being my pacesetters....

Lonesome
I've never feel so alone in this world we're living in,
It really feels like I'm all by myself, Can you believe me?
It's like like that everything that I do, I do it for myself,
Which bring us to the chorus that I'm about to sing,
I feel so lonesome,
I think I need some....
Company!!!
I think I'm lonesome,
I really need your....
Sympathy!!!

Ikan Koli masak Borlado!
Roman Holiday....
Last Monday, I went to Rome via a movie at KLCC. It was nice to see familiar places in the old Rome. Even though it has been two years since I visited Rome with the winning team of Nokia wireless adventure, My mind is still fresh with the memories of it. So my only motivation to watch Angels and demons that night was only because of Rome. It a nice feeling to have in the cinema when you recognized places that you've been to. This picture was take outside Pantheon. It was late the inside of Pantheon was closed to the public so Ana and I decided to eat local bread and cheese with our father homemade meatfloss or serunding you may call it. My show was at 11.30pm so I decicided to go home on foot as a part of my marathon training. It is really scary everytime. I heard dogs barking like I was somekind of intruder. Few months ago when I did the same after James Bond movie. I was with my flowboard(left it in Star LRT en route to AF audition) I was chased by guard dogs then and I skate like heck! I don't bring my skate board this time and when I watch Star Trek last month I ran into Ash's(double exposure)brother and took a ride home in his Savvy. It was exhausting but I think 42.195km gonna be alot tougher....

Ramblings about bola...
So with Chelsea winning the FA Cup over Everton, We can close the book of Eglish football for this season. Need to mention just for the sake of tormenting the kops. The young gunners won the the FA youth Cup with an impressive 6-2 aggregate over liverpool. But then again it is also nice to mention Barca victorious endevor against the lacklustre White Angels of Manchester( Coined by Jannah Raffali) I must say Senor Ronaldo does look good in white. Well for Arsenal season, they did okay-okay jelah. The drought continues. They totally lack the killer insticnt to finish of games. This is a season of yoyo-like performance. Jekyll and Hyde personas that left the gooners utterly speechless. One week they are the Harlem Globetrotters of football. The other they play like headless chickens. So it is back to the drawing board for Monsieur Wenger........

Run Forest! Run!
Forest Gump is a good runner. Come 28th of June 2009. The Ice blender is gonna emulate Forest Gump by participating in the 2009 KL Marathon. He is gunning for the full marathon and try to establish himself as the first in the family to finish the 42.195KM run. So with the limited time until the raceday. The Ice blender is going to follow an advice from an unknown marathon runner. In the weekdays he is gonna run 10KM for three times. And in the weekend he is gonna another 10KM. So in total he is going to run 50KM per week which should give him the stamina to run the marathon. Training starts tomorrow........

Gunners for life.....
I started to support Arsenal ardently after I saw their friendly match against Malaysia in the late 90's. When Arsenal went on to win the league unbeaten in 2003/2004 season, There's a strange story to it. Back then every time there's a live telecast I would put up a poster of Thierry Henry, Referee Steve Bennett and Dennis Bergkamp on the wall. It totally worked like magic. It seem to be that every time Bennet was refereeing everything went smooth for Arsenal in the league. The season after, that the poster went missing and the juju was gone.

Weird day......
Today, just after I called for a'sar prayers, rain fell quite heavily with gush of wind and thunder. So I guess that was why the jemaah was only me and an old karkun arriving in his proton waja. He was the imam. So when I came home the electricity was out due to the fall of a huge tree onto a power line. Once again I called the ever useful number 15454 to report the incident but then again someone else had already did. So for maghrib, I took the initiative to climb the minaret to call for prayers there. It was unprecedented, I really felt like living in the old days when the mua'zzins strut their a'zan on top of high minarets. I also did the same for I'syak. Just of yesterday when Surau Al-Mustaqim voted for Earth, but then we only switched of the lights of the parameter and minaret. Today we got the full treatment of having to pray in the dark once again just like the old days in the time of Rasulullah S.A.W. My brother came by with his wife and kids. I told Daniel well this is just like balik kampung when back in the old days kampungs don't have proper amenities. Back in December, I had the chance to take a picture of bakawali with my N95. So today another one bloomed but then I only have my megapixel Nokia 6111. And the battery was low so I could not use the camera. Ana's cybershot is in Shah Alam. Just when I felt frustrated of having not to take the picture, the electricity was restored at 11.15pm. So it took TNB about six hours for the rectification. During that time we lost a few ice blended customers and poor Encik Poli(my dad) having at least 30 of his talapia fishes dead. But what to do? Quoting Slumdog Millionaire, 'Maybe it was written'.

The line went down.....
My mom woke me up at 4.57 am today. All groggy, I don't know then what the fuss is all about. My phone alarm was set at 5.30am so her timing could not have been much' better'. Quite with a panicky tone of voice she told me a power line went down. She had told my brother Jack but he told her he don't know what to do. So carefully, I went out to check it out. Then strangely with a sense of dejavu I felt that I've been in this situation before. A few years before in Negeri Sembilan, an electric poll was inclining to the ground because of soil erosion, I took the effort to notify TNB by calling the 15454 number that is written on the poll. So with out any delay, I asked for my mom's phone because mine was out of credit. To my surprise I was not put on hold like many time before eg. when reporting a blackout they usually give you a waiting number and you get to listen to a corny song until your turn is up. A man answered, I told him what happened. An early response team arrived in 30 minutes and the line was brought up at 10am I guess. So the day was saved thanks to the........
